1/5 spawns will be a regular skeleton.
Wither skeletons drop Wither skulls.

zombies can drop carrots and potatoes

Heads can be placed for decoration[83]

Skeleton, wither, zombie, player and creeper heads.
Can be placed in the same angles as signs.
Can be hung against walls.
Only wither heads are a rare drop from the wither skeleton the other heads are currently not obtainable in survival yet.

Wither skeleton

Wither Skeletons are dangerous hostile mobs that spawn in Nether Fortresses. Wither Skeletons are the Nether equivalent of skeletons. Unlike skeletons, however, Wither Skeletons use stone swords and are over two blocks tall. When hit by a Wither Skeleton, the player may be inflicted with the "Wither" effect for a few seconds. When killed, the mob may drop coal and bones, and very rarely drop their skull and the stone sword. The skulls are the key items to creating the Wither boss.

Wither Skeletons, like all Nether mobs, are immune to fire and lava and are not damaged by daylight. Wither Skeletons can also occasionally pick up items, weapons, and tools, or spawn naturally with armor, similar to other undead-type monsters.

When used in the Nether, Skeleton spawn eggs are able to spawn Wither Skeletons instead of the normal skeletons 80% of the time. Similarly, when a spider is spawned in the Nether (whether via spawn egg or a mob spawner), it has a slight chance of spawning as a jockey for a wither skeleton instead of an ordinary skeleton.

The Nether Star is a drop of the Wither, and it will be essential to craft the Beacon in the future.

And the becon is really cool and the beacon lloks like the crystals in the End ontop of the obsidian towers so its a good decoration or just use it as a beacon

So many updates. I wish they would fix a lot of the java issues with minecraft though. My friend cant even play minecraft unless he makes this note and types all this stuff and runs it as a bat file. I believe you shouldnt have to do anything of the sort to play a game you bought. It should work on your computer. But Im happy these updates are free. Its cool. cant wait for surprises from notch and his team.

he should try re-downloading minecraft after uninstalling it (move to memory stick incase that doesn't work). make sure to move .minecraft and not just the launcher.
