| Hey all,
We are currently trying to fix some flaws, and trying to make the server even better! Next week , or maybe even later this week I will post an post what we are planning on doing for the server , and I assure you , its an huge improvement!
One of the things we discussed is the following; The starmine maze Everyone knows it , everyone did it, Some people hate it some people love it.
I honestly think that we need don't need to force people to do the maze , and let them chooce to do so. This is what I had in mind, everyone joins as default , just like on the PvP server , if you want more permissions / sethomes they need to do the maze. Instead of a new spawn we make a jungle biome , all set out with all rules , maybe a starmine logo, I honestly think this is a better spawn then a forced maze to do :3
Downsides :
- Chance of griefers gets bigger - More xrayers ( will add an plugin for it today )
So please pick you're side and how you think about this , as I know you all did the maze I really want to you you're opinion about it.

| Guess that I can comment this.
Well this will make more people stay as you pointed out. The greifers will ofc be a problem. But as we've got us mods, I bet it won't be too much greif. I voted jungle path, answer 2

| I never had a problem doing the maze, it was easy and straight forward.
The only people that have a hard time with it is the people ignoring the signs and those people wont read the rules either.

| I think the maze is the better option, as thats players way of consenting to the rules of the server. That way, they have no excuse when they break them - making it a simpler task for our mods and admins on the server.

| I think the jungle route would be better. And the anti x-ray plugin, is it the same one as the last one we had? That one really annoyed me.. | |

| Don't go on here anymore, but the maze is a better option. Weeds out the jerks who are just too lazy to look at the rules, and takes away their option of "I didn't know that was a rule!" | |

| I like the old tutorial we had before the maze (other than that they had to warp into it). I also miss that little glass chamber filled with the lie. Or maybe it would start out in a tower (a very pretty tower to make good impressions) where there would be a redstone game with the rules. It could have all the questions in the maze and some true false ones. When the player answers a question correctly it opens a door for them to move forward (or rather down the tower) and eventually come to the member sign (witch should probably be a question so they know what to do with it, example: what do you do when you get to the sign that says "click to become member". A ignore it. B click on it. C walk through it) There would be a study board at the top with all the answers so they can actually know the answers. After the member sign they would type /warp starmine. Or after they click on the sign they could then move along one floor down with a hole in it and a sign telling them to fall down it. There could be a portal under the hole that teleports them to starmine or starcity, or simply have The tower floating above starmine and get them to fall into a pool of water. | |

| i like the survival one better, because you dont have to request to be a member (which i personally think is stupid, sorry). BTW, when i just the tutorial was with the sign click stargates. i never had to do the maze | |

| Make the maze shorter, but keep it. And for wrong turns make it death but not a detour. Keep the maze, kill wrong answers, but make it shorter | |

Would you mind expanding? What kind of trouble?

| In this I do agree with snowy about that there are so many people complaining about the maze being to difficult and it may needs a change, but I also agree with peach where they may miss the rules with the jungle but with the maze they can't miss them. But I really think that some changes are great so my vote is with snowy | |

| I believe we're getting plenty of new players already that can finish the maze. What worries me most is the Griefers and X-rayers, especially if hawkeye or orebfuscator fails for some reason. I believe keeping Griefers and X-rayers out is more important than letting more new players in, especially since this server isn't whitelisted.
Edit: and by the way, the Era 2 maze is lengthier and more annoying than the Era 1 maze. It shouldn't take a very long winding passage if you get the right answer. Perhaps cloning the Era 1 maze or shorten the passages would make the maze perfect again.

| The maze is fine, just needs to be shortened is all i think. Walking down a twisting and turning hallway for 5 minutes just to repeat it is not fun. | |

| Thanks for all your votes and suggestions everyone, new maze coming - its set in the jungle, has more detail, shorter walks, same questions, but has addition signs along the way with commands and info that we have antixray, hawkeye etc etc | |
