Patch 1.2 read first *updated*

Rumour has it via twitter this morning that 1.2 is about to drop - however, if it is an optional update, like with 1.1 - please do not update right away, as we cannot update the server until all the plugins have updated themselves as well (takes a few days usually)

So, decline the update, go to multiplayer, and join the server as normal. A few days later, you will find the server will not let you join, because you are out of date, only then are you to close minecraft, open it up again, and then choose to update.

Alot of people fell fowl of this last time, and were complaining that they couldn't get onto the server.

So you have been warned and informed.

Ill backup my 1.1 due to a clan server is now behind by 2 updates, update for own use, back up 1.2 for the heck of it, then revert to play on server.

As people have updated and I'm not sure when we're updating, can someone provide a download link to someone's 1.1?

Sorry I dont, snowy is the man to ask on that front - i'm sure it will be updated as soon as is possible

Just thought i'd update you all, there is a Beta version of Bukkit available to update the server with, however, our providers are advising against using it for the moment, and wait on the official build.

The Bukkit team apologise for the slowness, but have stated:
"We're cleaning up our code to help us better prepare for the release of Minecraft 1.2. As a result, a lot of old, inefficient and buggy code is being removed and plugins will need to be updated. "

So, once Bukkit do their bit, our providers will update us, and it will all move along very quickly.

Bukkit has just released another beta build today, getting closer and closer to that golden official release )

About time. But keep in mind guys, rushing things makes bugs in the coding. Bugs lead to things like the Chest Protection incident. >.>

Yeaaah... We don't want that fiasco to happen again. >.>;;

But oh~ Just imagine all the new projects to start in 1.2~
