| This debate has come up time and time again, and nothing has been done, time and time again. Well again, Due to a hacker attack, we had repeated spamming and the 4 mods online were unable to stop it due to a limited set of permissions. Mods need to be allowed to IP ban players, as well as ofline players, as this is not only a common feature that most servers expect mods to have, but could also have stopped this attack cold. Some would argue that adding more admins would also stop this, and as this would help should one be on durring a attack, there are rarly admins online durring the U.S. daytime hours, and whats to say that a new one would be on at the time of the attack. In conclution, Giving mods more permissions would go along way in preventing attacks like these from happening. | |

| I agree. though in this case when we would try to use /whois to find th IP it would have been lost in the spam. | |

In conclution, Giving mods more permissions would go along way in preventing attacks like these from happening. First : Mods can ipban and ban . so they were able to resolve the problem second: what other commands do you moderators want the Moderators had every commands in the book to settle down the "afk attack" they had Mute jail ban ipban

| think we need to look at our anti chat spam plugin, as clearly it hasn't moved to 1.3 as easily as everything else | |

| Sorry if it seemed that we overreacted. since the mods (at least there were alot on) were trying their hardest to stop it we were all panicing because noone new the command or could talk about it during the spam. | |

Mute jail ban ipban Unless the command isnt "/ipban {player}" the mods can not ban ips. As I notified some of the mods to do this, and they said they lacked the neccicary permmisions.

No worries, it was our fault for not confirming STAB functionality in 1.3
