| Hi everyone, I had an idea for a server and i was wondering what you all thought.
See i've been checking out a lot of Spout information online - this is the minecraft program that allows you to have custom items + recipies in game - and was curious if there was any demand for having a small (very) server catering to Role Play?
My thoughts were:
To have the game set to hardest with playerVSplayer damage on - but the server would be whitelisted (with only regular Starmine players allows on the list). The idea isn't to go around killing people and greifing them, but instead having a fun adventure together and lots of different and cool items
Spout requires users to install a mod at their end too, so you would have a Minecraft icon (to join regular servers) and a Spout Minecraft icon - to join Spout servers.
Why can't we have Spout on the normal server
Many reasons, it requires everyone to download and use Spout firstly otherwise they can't connect or recieve errors, and secondly we all have to use the same texture pack - as we all need to see that e.g. item number 350 is a Block of Concrete, and item number 420 is a Royal Sceptre.
Do you think this would be fun, would you want to play there? | |

| This sounds like a great idea, but is snowy going to make it 24/7 (hence he has to pay more) or is it going to be one of those servers that run whenever he pulls up the command prompt thingy lol. (I've seen my friend run a server by doing this). | |

| dedicated server, not a local host.
However before we go about getting a server i'm running one locally to make sure everything works - so no dead time.
With it being a small server, we would likely use it for events such as the walls challenge, minecraft survival games, then the RP; but its all still early days yet | |
