New 'Quest world' , Mumble and more!

Hey all,

Glad to see that you clicking on this thread as this is for now one of the most important ones in a long time,,

New quest world

Today I decided to add some new plugins to the survival server , including citizens and Multiverse-core , basically what both those plugins do is the following:

Citizens
Is a fun plugin where either any admin/mod or me can make an NPC, just like the skin you have right now! , let's say we wanted an npc called snowyboy , then this NPC has the same skin as me , and he can also talk!

Multiverse-core
Is a plugin which allows you to add new worlds , I won't be adding many , as the server might get more laggy then normal, but for now we are adding an 'quest world'

Sounds cool but what is this quest world?
This new world is based on doing quests ONLY, we will make NPC's who will give you an assignment , you have to do this assignment return to the NPC and claim ur reward!
This idea sounds cool and maybe will be cool once added, but for now it's a real fantasy in my eyes.
Mainly because the following things:
- We need 'biomes' so to say where we can make these quests , for example do a jungle parkour trap in the jungle biome , or gather 20 snow in the snow biome.
- Still need to figure out how to let NPC's talk.
- Still need to make quests :3

How long will this new world take?

I am not entirely sure on this but I hope it will be done in 2-3 weeks.

Yes there is! , I think that the admins/mods and me can take care of some quests and the biomes , but it would be cool if some of you also made some quests!
Just write a quest down and post it here , we will try to copy it as good as possible in-game!

Example:

Peachcai is lost in the jungle , when I found him he was wounded, I saw him trying to talk to me , so I got closer to him
'Stranger , there is a zombie-nest near here , they hurted me! , can you please kill 10 zombies and then return to me'?
And here you're quest begins!

Rewards : 1 Iron pickaxe.

How harder the quest how bigger the reward.

Mumble chat

We used to have a mumble server a while ago, yet it crashed and I see mainly PvP admins on skype.
I would really like to re-set up mumble but only if there is a demand for it.
I myself don't got a mic , so I don't talk in the mumble chat , but yet I think it's really handy to hear other members and such talk to each other , or to me instead of typing.
So I will open a poll and when we get 10 'yes' votes I will re-open it , but please if you voted yes please come in the mumble chat as often as possible , as it really is fun!

Sound like and amazing idea, Strangely enough me and Sam were talking about making some sort dungeons around the world in the PvP (kinda like survival) and this could be used for the tutorial where you get your starter items. But one question. Couldn't people just grind items?

Nop , there is a limit for every quest on it.

In the quest world, I am assuming that noone will be able to place/destroy blocks, unless permitted for building quests?

Interesting. I'll help as much as I can!

I voted no for the Mumble server...While I do have a mic, I don't use it nor would I if I had the option to.

Maybe we could add a pvp world to starmine?

I would love to help with some adventures/quests.

Not sure if mumble is worth the cost, only very few of us ever used it as it was

maybe there could be a quest were u could be asked to find the president of a villege who is locked up in a jail . but people are trying to stop you

OHH I love that idea! You could have a town that has been taken away by bandits to a desrert fortress. When you reach the town a kid asks if you would find her parents who were taken away by bad guys. When you get there you have to find a way in, and free the entire village!

Me, Sam, Jim, Zab, Jrd, KaOTiC, Den and even Kyuubi are quite frequently using Skype, and half of us used the old Mumble server. So that's pretty much four yes' right there!

The idea also makes survival sound interesting.

Mumble takes up such a little bandwidth But now I'm using Skype I can barely stay on after 5pm which is annoying
