Server being griefed

I'm honestly surprised no one has made a thread about this yet.

At about 8 o'clock EST I joined the server to find chaos and ruins. An unknown individual had spawned in multiple Withers (some say there were about 10 Withers) and had attempted to grief the spawn. I quickly entered the command /killall to rid of them. Before this incident though, Naga's base had been griefed as well. Not raided. Griefed. By someone who obviously had OP. The base was destroyed to such an impossible extent that the person had to of had OP with /f bypass. They spawned in Withers around Naga's base and blew up stacks upon stacks of TnT within claimed land. This is an obvious hate crime against Naga and the server. If anyone was witness to these events please provide any and all evidence that may help in the capture of the culprit. I've already contacted Snowy about it so hopefully he'll respond tomorrow. Let's just all hope that this situation may be resolved with haste as we'd all like to get back to playing some pleasant Minecraft.

I've made one in the moderator section so the Owners can see it because they seem to check on that section more than others.

It appears as though every single major faction was griefed with OP powers during that spawn building incident. Not meaning to be pointing fingers at anyone, but the only person who was OP'ed and not hit was Vega's faction. Even Chipy and Minidrake were hit, so it's hard to believe they did all of this. Even if they do seem like the type who would do it.

There were a lot more than 10.....


and while you were not on Sav, I had the fight of my life. After a lot of people left because they were scared *COUGHKyuubiCOUGH* I was left there fighting most of the Withers in the spawn xD They caused so much damage. I hope that we have a backup.

Is the server up still? Any suspects?

Well.. If someone tried to ruin the server.... They should atleast have done it right... Or came to me for help xD

Seriously, even though Veg helped build the spawn, keep in mind that he had also made the Wither Mansion. I also remember that he had said that he wanted it outside of spawn, this part is important.

Also, I don't believe that TeK was hit either. It was minor griefing at the beginning, we weren't hit as bad as the others, which I find rather strange.

This wasn't during the time where the whitelist was in play. And yes I understand that every major faction has been griefed except Rednecks but everyone in Rednecks is banned except for 1 insignificant person who never had OP. We need to try and pinpoint who it is by looking at the list of people who are currently OPed

We definitely need LogBlock (noticing Hawkeye isn't being updated anymore) and we've told Snowy this many times.

XD I guess you do have experience blowing up the pvp server.
But on a serious note, normal players should never have been given OP powers... every time we give regular players OP powers somthing like this happens. In the futre we should be more carefull to only let moderators build.

This won't happen again. Snowy is going to install LogBlock, no matter he wants it or not. I am going to op ONLY people that are trusted from now on. No members will ever be whitelisted or opped again unless they're trusted by me, snowgorilla and snowyboy.

Any idea when we are getting LogBlock sheep?

LogBlock will only help for future events though. It wont help for past ones.
But at least it'll help decrease the future ones. Sorry if my words are scattered...

So who else was greifed and do they have permission to rebuild it or whats going to happen cause this is very unfair

You can tell this wasn't an attack on Naga Or TeK. This was an Attack on the server.
ALL factions had been griefed IF they were already found or someone was op from that faction.
I wasn't op and my faction base is safe. But Some of my allies claimed to be griefed.
The wither Was Released A few times From Bk. But I Doubt it was right next to the spawn because. He didn't have Op. But, I heard Wither sounds When He wasn't on. I asked around because I could hear it. no one said anything. This Might of not of been a Op attack because. There was attacks around the spawn. ANd the Wither mgiht of Fallowed a bat or a mob that was in the wither castle

People were attacking the withers trying to get rid of them, however due to this they were able to heal and eat away at the protected areas. But no one can spawn that many unless they were op.

Also, a great safe spot is the market under spawn. Just sayin.

You should be able to spawn, like one or two because of gathering the necessary materials, however that was way to many at once since the update where withers are active.

Note: TeK has Beacons. And I think THey have alot. Like 7 And some Nether Stars. That Means they had to have around 10 or 9 Spawned In their life time

well at spawn there were over 6, gojo had to kill six 6 of them alone the other day when they were spawned.

Haha. No. We have 2 beacons and no nether stars xD

I fought 4 withers on the server. 1 with Gornduff, today. 1 with Naga members, trying to grief redneck's base. 1 for fun with Gojo and Hob(I think it was them) and 1 with Enemycommander.

So Yeah. They could Of Saved the items for that
