Why do you want to become a Moderator on this server? : I want to become a moderator to stop spammers,hackers,xrayers,etc so that everyone can have a better experience playing on Starmine.

How long have you played? : I'm pretty sure that i've played since March/April? Not completely sure. (I started before the PvP server shut down).

If we accepted you, what would you do to improve the server? : I would give my original ideas to help build the spawn or new buildings/activities so that the server may be even greater than it already was.

How would you describe our server? : A friendly,active,pvp server. People are always willing to help someone when they ask a question, regardless of rank. (As I do now lol.)

Are you willing to help rebuild/build with other mods? : Of course. I love building spawns and other types of buildings. I've helped with the Starmine spawn probably about 3 times now?

Considering the amount of players on the server, do you think you would be able to answer all their questions? : Honestly, I think I could. Not to brag or anything but I am a fast typer. (I actually LISTENED in typing class lol.)

If someone swears or spams what would YOU do? : If they swore once, I would politely ask them to cut it out. Then if they did it again a kick, After that I would mute him for a while considering on the situation. If he/she were to spam I would tell them to stop, then if they did it again I would kick them, then I would possibly jail them/ban them/mute them, It just really depends if its a hacking spam bot or something where nobody can even talk to each other.

Are you willing to offer some of your freetime on your minecraft in-game adventure to help others out? : Of course! I love helping people it makes me feel good to know that someone else is having a greater time on the server because of my help.

If no mods/admins were on the server and someone had a problem would you still help him/her? : Yes, it doesn't matter if nobody is on. If someone has a question or problem you can count on me to help them out.

We sometimes host contests, would you encourage other players to participate? : Yes! Contests are a HUGE part of our server. It can attract newcomers. The more the better.

How long do you play a day? : Anywhere around 4 hours a day (Sometimes more on the weekends).

Got any experience as a moderator on other servers? : I have moderated on this server back before it shut down. And before that I co-owned a PvP faction server with my friend "ascarygrunt". It was fairly popular server with an average of 6 people online at a time.

i would put on tours around the world and make some out posts for the adventurers if they have no where to hide and i would add ranks like builder and adventurer.
- How would you describe our server? a fun happy environment and you get to know your admins more than other servers admins when i first joined i loved how snowgorrlia helped me and gave me a tour and added me to his fractoin

- Considering the amount of players online, do you think you can handle the amount of questions? well you can have a meeting with the newbies and if they have any questions they can just place a sign in that room with there question and we can place a sign with the aswer

- If someone swears or Spamps or anything else against the rules, what would YOU do? i would ask them why are they doing it but if they keep doing it i would give them a 5 minute ban and if they still do i will just bann them for longer like 12 hours or something

- Are you willing to offer some freetime of you're minecraft-ingame adventure to help people out? yeah i always help my little sister understand the game whn she is playing i would just get a bed legitly and then sleep in it and tp to the person

- Got any experience as a moderator on another server? yes i used to have my own server but then i had to shut it down because of griefers and hackers i used to be an admin on a creative server but then i got banned for flying

- Why do you want to be a moderator on this server?

I would like to become a moderator to act more as a liaison between players and the other members of staff should a situation arise that requires advanced critical thinking skills. Of course that is not the only reason for my desire to acquire a staff rank. I would like to be more directly involved in the incidents that do occur from time to time on this server which requires immediate attention to remedy.

- How long have you played?

That is more of a general question, on this server in particular I couldn't really say. I'd imagine at least several dozen hours before it went down. As for Minecraft in general then I easily have over a year of experience.

- If we accepted you , what would you do to improve the server?

I would improve the experience that our players have on this server by focusing on any questions that they may have or by investigating any problematic situations that arise to the fullest of my abilities and within my bounds of power. Of course I am flexible and can attend to several other tasks that are deemed necessary.

- How would you describe our server?

I would describe it as a growing pvp oriented server. There is room for improvement but if we smooth out the rough patches then this server will show promise as one of the more interesting servers available.

- Are you willing to rebuild/build with other mods to improve the server?

I am willing as long as we have a solid plan/layout going into the project. I have seen too many promising structures fail to become the spectacular buildings they could have been due to poor communication and lack of foresight.

- Considering the amount of players online, do you think you can handle the amount of questions?

I know I can. I've have experience with a myriad of questions thanks to my profession and will treat each question asked with equal validity regardless of whether or not it is considered common sense to many who may or may not have more experience with Minecraft.

- If someone swears or Spams or anything else against the rules, what would YOU do?

The number of violations as well as the severity of said crime would determine the course of action I would take. If the offense is minor then a warning is all that is necessary, if they continue then I would proceed as the set protocal dictates. The more severe the infraction the more immediate a response and the more taxing the punishment for said player as long as there is evidence to support each claim.

- Are you willing to offer some freetime of you're minecraft-ingame adventure to help people out?

Of course, otherwise I wouldn't apply for a position which demands time to assist others.

I would assist the player in what ever ways I could. If I was unable to grant them a satisfactory response then I would make a record of their account and refer it to another member of staff above me. Of course it is entirely dependent on what is required and what I have access to.

I believe the answer would be leaning towards a form of affirmation. The more active the player base the more interested players will be to return when time and personal responsibilities allow. As players become more interested the more they may spread word of this server which would shine a positive light on us and enable more growth. So Yes.

- How long do you play a day?

That is dependent on my work schedule, there are so days to which I am only limited an hour or so, others where I could have have as much as twelve or more hours to spend freely. As far as a rough average though I could dedicate twenty four or more hours a week. Of course this is only a rough average and is entirely dependent on a number of variables.

- Got any experience as a moderator on another server?

I've had experience running a server and I have experience outside of Minecraft supervising others. Of course the tasks and the courses of action available to moderators varies from server to server. However, I would do whatever is possible in such a position with what I have available to improve this server however much that I can.

I could be considered knowledgeable in several exploits available in Minecraft and could assist in investigating cases regarding that particular type of violation. As a former customer service representative I understand how important communication is between staff and customers which I would in turn apply to our user base. I would be willing to use the talents I've acquired through my professional career to assist to this voluntary position. Not only do I possess superb communication skills I also have a knack for learning the necessary functions of my role expediently.

As we've seen over the previous few days, we are in need of moderators. I used to be a moderator on the old PVP server, and I wish to be as helpful as possible.
- How long have you played?
Since about February 2012.
- If we accepted you , what would you do to improve the server?
I am a rather active member of the PVP server, as you can assume, so I can be on often. As well as be on during the US times.
- How would you describe our server?
I loved the old PVP server, and I love the community. So to put it simply, I would say I love your server.
- Are you willing to rebuild/build with other mods to improve the server?
Of course I would. I helped with the pre-building of spawn, and would always help build if it would better the server.

Easily. I have high confidence in my ability to maintain order while online.

Spamming or swearing would lead to a kick first, if continued a temp-mute. If they used something to get around it, (IE: Faction descriptions. [Has been done.]) Then I would temp-ban or perma-ban.

Of course. My time usually consists of searching for bases to raid, so I could easily replace that time with helping others.

As I stated previously, I am more than willing to give my time to assist other players on the server.

I would love to help in any way possible. I would try my hardest.

Depends on what I have to do on specific days. Thursdays and Mondays I can be on for a few hours. Tuesdays and Wednesdays I can be on for a long time, and on Fridays, I may be on for an hour or possibly more. (Weekends I'm free.)

Well, I used to Co-Own two Roleplay servers, which had an average of about 10-30 people on a day. And I was previously a Mod here on Starmine PvP.

- Why do you want to be a moderator on this server?

I want to become a mod because I have seen the spammers, hackers, cheaters, etc, on Starmine pvp and will do my best to stop it so people can enjoy themselves while playing and don't have to spend time reporting these people. I wish to make the server truly enjoyable for everyone, that will be my goal as moderator. I have been with Starmine for a while and truly love it. I have met great people and made friends, even if I don't know they're names.

- How long have you played?

I have been playing Minecraft for 2 years, and Starmine since Febuary/March 2012, and one of the first members (if not the first) to join Starmine PVP

- If we accepted you , what would you do to improve the server?

If I were to become a mod, I would make it so pvp would be much more enjoyable. I have been on the front-lines in pvp and know how what's right and wrong. I have fought people and groups who have cheated, and know how they do it. I will do my best to stop these people and make it so the pvps to come will be clean fights.

- How would you describe our server?

I would describe the server as a nice, active, server with mods who are always open to help you out.

- Are you willing to rebuild/build with other mods to improve the server?

I would love to help build with the other mods, for I have spent most of my time on Minecraft building and have become very good and have nice designs and ideas.

I am used to handling several questions not only from Minecraft, but the real world as well, and will not become overcome or get hesitant easily.

For swearing, I would go by the 3 warning rule, which I presume you and everybody else knows. Then if they swear again, ban/mute them

When it comes to spamming, I would give them 1 warning. Then if they start spamming again after that warning, I would ban/mute them

This question I will be taking under the "players online" question. If someone asks me to help them on something, I will be there to help. Or come the fastest I can if I am currently doing something that I need to get done, or if I am dealing with someone's problem already

On weekdays, I usually play about 1-3 hours a day. On weekends, I play around 4-8 hours a day.

I live in North America, and the time difference from here to the UK/overall Europe is 5 hours, so I would probably be mostly playing around 8:00 to 12:00 for most of you guys. I notice that most of the troublemakers come around the time that most of the mods/admins are offline, for most of you guys are living in EU

- Why do you want to be a moderator on this server?

To keep the server secure from modders, spammers X-Rayers etc. and also to help people who need it and to settle faction disputes.

- How long have you played?

I've played Starmine since wayyy back the old PVP server

- If we accepted you , what would you do to improve the server?

As always, my goal as a mod on this server is to get X-Rayers, and just hackers in general. I like to keep the game fair for all, and X-Raying is just completely unfair.

- How would you describe our server?

A fun, friendly server where anyone can play fair and enjoy!

- Are you willing to rebuild/build with other mods to improve the server?

Yes, considering I've helped Zab rebuild the spawn with zZzSleepingrunt and Shadyking408 on the old server after "the incident". I would help rebuild the server if the need came up.

- Considering the amount of players online, do you think you can handle the amount of questions?

Even though there's quite a few people on at a time, the questions don't typically flood in, so yes, i could handle it.

Warn them. If that doesn't work, mute them. If THAT doesn't work kick them. If that still doesn't work, then a ban is required.

Before the server went down a while ago, I was moderator for about 2-3 weeks. I also owned my own server a year or so ago with zZzSleepingrunt that we kept up for quite some time.

-One of the problems on the server before was that most of the Mods and admins were from the UK or Europe, so there was frequently times where there were no mods or admins on the server. I'm from the US and am on most of the day so I would be able to constantly keep a watchful eye on the server.

This server NEVER gives up. Trying a new server again makes it that it will never give up. We had hacker in the past, Crashing the whole Map. We still went on We had someone blow the whole server up. We went on. We had me Eat a taco. We still went on. See What we can do Starmine

I could build nice things. I had no chance to show people how good I build because I was away for holidays when the whitelisting went on. I WOuld rebuild a spawn if something happend but rebuild someones base because they got raided. I Wouldn't

I Know ALOT about the server. But I don't know ALL. Which sucks because I like ansering Questions to people. Also I would help others Even if I do't get Mod.

Well I handled 2 Spammeres better than some. The first I was lucky And didn't try to Bother. But the secend was A time Bomb. People kept Insulting the guy even tho he can spamm AGAIN. I ignored him OR made a joke so that the spammer would not spam again. Also With swearing I will be a hidden time bomb. My way people Might like But It is a good way. I Don't rememined Them. People Should Remember the rules and if they didn't I give them 1 Chance. Kick:Remember the rules NOOOOOO Swearing. Plz Look at the rules again. I am an experienced, responsible minecraft player who has been with Starmine for quite a while. I can contribute amazing builds, reasonable punishment to rule-breakers, and a great attitude. I play quite a lot and I realize that at the moment there's only mods and admins that live in EU so there's only mods online during half the day, and the other half is when the spammers and hackers move in. I live in NA so I can be online when others aren't.

A few years at least. Like I said, I'm very experienced.

- If we accepted you , what would you do to improve the server?
I would not only make the server look amazing, but also bring a friendly attitude to the players.

A very competitive, fun, beautiful server that can always be improved.

I'm not only willing, but will even lead huge build projects that may include complicated dungeons with a lot of redstone, very fun and original PvP arenas, shops, etc.

Of course they will be given a warning, turning into a kick, another warning, then a temp ban, and if they continue to break the rules as a last resort they will be banned.

Like I said, I strive for the happiness of others, even if that means giving up my whole day to simply helping others out.

The only way competitions can be fun is if lots of people cooperate, so of course I would!

2-3 hours at least depending on my mood and how busy I am (this is also usually around the time when the EU mods and admins are offline).

Yes I've been a mod on this server before it closed, but now that it's reopen I would be more than happy to be a mod and to help others as much as possible.

I am a phenomenal builder and I'm great with redstone wiring. In the old server I built 75% of the spawn (the massive tree with an underground castle), multiple arenas (volcano arena, pyramid arena, etc.), and was working on a complicated dungeon that went unfinished due to the server being shutdown. I will contribute as much as possible to the server and will be sure to make every single player as happy as possible!

- Why do you want to be a moderator on this server?
Because this is where my friends play, and wherever we are i want to keep alive as best i can. When someone comes on and starts being idiotic and spamming, trying to lag the server, swearing, being disrespectful, or whatever it may be, i want to be able to put an end to it as quickly as possible so we can all get back to our internet life involving murdering each other repeatedly.

On and off one part of Starmine or the other for nearing a year now. Ive been in MC since 0.1.7.

- If we accepted you , what would you do to improve the server?
Simply help keep the peace from a position allowing. There is not much to be said here for fear of this becoming akin to the Miss America pageant, and i'm not nearly that well built. Besides, i think going around in a bikini adverting the server is against the rules somewhere.

- How would you describe our server?
As good a place as any for friends to hang out and try to kill each other, and that's worth fighting for!

- Are you willing to rebuild/build with other mods to improve the server?
Gladly, ive done it may times before between here and Survival, and its put credence to my skills, and i do a fair job of keeping my temper even around those that are competent enough to diverse their position.

Have in the past, have been during the void in staff, and will in the future.

Simple three strike rules. 1 warning, 1 kick, 1 ban. Have a very nice day.

For what few and far between times its necessary or merited in a PvP environment, i would be glad to.

Depends on the day. I am a full time collage student, so between class times and homework i dont have a ton of free time. That said, i do enjoy using MC to de-stress after a long day. So anywhere from 1-8 hours depending on the day.

Yep. Mod and Admin for Starmine Surv, Admin of JavelinCraft, and my own projects from time to time, i'm well more than capable, and experienced.

Seeing that there is a huge hole in the moderation of the server when gorilla is not on-line I wish t help spread out the workload so not all jobs are pinned one one person

Since the whitelisting began so about 12 hours + I was probably the most active member of staff before it had to close last time

To start off, a small PvP server, but if you stay longer and have a trusty faction its a amazing place to just hang around and chat, no need for that 24/7 PvP mlarky.
- Are you willing to rebuild/build with other mods to improve the server?
The past server, I rebuilt spawn about 5 times, Anything a higher member of staff says to do and I am fully capable of preforming the task at hand I will always do it.
- Considering the amount of players online, do you think you can handle the amount of questions?
I am very good at handling a large amount of questions and normally very good at giving a decent answer.
- If someone swears or Spamps or anything else against the rules, what would YOU do?

For swearing: First I would issue a 5 minute mute if they ignore my first 3 warnings, If they continue after that, a 24 hour ban, If they come back and continue perma ban.
For spamming: First take a screen cap of their spamming to back up the the report, then ban, Nobody likes a spammer
- Are you willing to offer some freetime of you're minecraft-ingame adventure to help people out?
Normally I don't do much when left to my own accord, So I am always free and I love to help others when given the resource and the ability to actually do so
- If no other mods are online , neither are admins , and someone has a problem , would you help him/her?
I would help said user my best using my given tools and help them to my full potential
- We sometimes host contests , would you encourage people to get in the competition?
I would advertise to new players and at regular intervals advertise to increase the overall amount of people that submit to the competition
- How long do you play a day?
I have a lot of free time and I normally I don't do anything of use to me, So if I were to become a moderator I would actually be able to use them many free hour to do something productive.
- Got any experience as a moderator on another server?
On the last server/Old Starmine PvP I was pretty much the only admin that did anything for the players Answer all questions, Sell all the spawners (they were 2k e.a, at the servers end I had about 500k just from selling spawners

Well I was an admin on the starmine survival , so i know the jist of what to do , I would like to help people as i did on the survival server , i loved helping people and it was the best part of going on starmine ..

I have played starmine since , march 2012 - october 2012.

- If we accepted you , what would you do to improve the server?

I would try to get the pvp server the popularity and ammusment as i did have before it was shut down , also i would bump the forums daily and improve the players funness on the server

Fun , challenging , Fun again , Great community , a one of a kind server ,

Sure! , when i was admin on survival , me ash , peach , snowy and some others put days of hardwork onto building the new spawn , it was super fun to make , and yes i love helping , building

Well i could handle the questions on the survival fine , and there were like 25+ players most of the time , so yes i could handle it.

swearing at some other player - i would instant kick the person and if he rejoins i would make him apoligize for his actions
casually swearing - warning would be put in place .
spamming - instant kick ,

I left starmine survival for like 2 months because i was too attached to it , i was on it from 9 to 8 on the weekends , and like 5 hours guring school days.

Sure , helping people makes me soo much happier then watching them call for help with no one able to help them

Yep , i loved contests on starmine survival , they brought the community together , and they were soo much fun

Well now im addicted to starmine again , i would say minimum of 3 hours maximum of 12
