Me and Snowy were discussing the best way for the server to move forward and what plug ins to throw in. We came across a plug in called Heros and decided to try it out on the server, i enjoyed it and it seems alot of the guys testing with us did too and we voted 3-1 That heros was better than mcmmo. This is our opinion. We want to hear what the people who play Starmine think if this mod would be better in place than Mcmmo.

Some people are like level 1000 on Axes on mcmmo which is ridiculous and puts players off the server so i think we should either add this to the server or reset mcmmo.

There is a two week poll on this issue ^^

We are also thinking of adding dungeons plug in with this, me and sam will build some crazy dungeons and make them rly hard so that you will have to go in groups and use teamwork with the Heros plug in, this will get u faster levels and better gear ^^.

This is great!
Only see 1 problem with this though, (which can be fixed)
Make sure Enderman give 0 xp (because of enderfarms this is what happened with McMMO how it got out of hand with the 1k levels) And spawned mobs from mob spawners.

This is going to fix a lot of problems with survival! Voted for Hereoes

I am voting for MCMMO, you cant use anything past stone tools at start, Personally, I would like to be able to use a iron pick when i first log in. as well as armor, a bow, a hoe, a pickaxe, a normal axe, and shovels... This might be able to be fixed, put honestly I dont like the game telling me what I cant use.

+1 tested this out on my own server before and it makes the powerful players not always the most powerful, as this means it requires teamwork and tactics. which is what factions is all about.

Nah, I really don't want this. Like jj said you can't even use wooden tools to start off with. Also chat gets extreamly flooded with "AUSxHIDDENBLADE has used Snowball" "jjruh has used Charge" . And it would just be ALOT simpler if we had our own choices in what weapons, tools, and armour we use. I think taking off McMMO, and not installing Heros is the best way.

The plugin is just way to complicated.

hero is pretty bad, jsut saying, its one very confusing, and i think mcmmo is on simpler and two the better and more common choice for pvp, u cant use armour, bows, swords, axes or anything at first, its on games ive tried, so just saying if i come on and i see for some reason i cant use a sword and such (as a new player i mean) im leaving that sserver lol

Yeah thats true, new players aren't going to like the server because they will just see that they can't use a sword, and because knowone ever reads signs, they're going to get a bad taste of the server.

I just think we need McMMO reset every month.

If people don't read the signs they don't deserve to be on the server, reasons why that maze should come back to starmine pvp.

And who cares when you start out not not being able to use pickaxes and such (+ you can change this) do it really scare you that bad that you have to work for your equipment?
In the long run it makes PVP more fair and enjoyable and more tactics. McMMO has to many faults and overpowered skills, Heroes balances this.

and resetting stats every month is just dumb, you complain about having to start with nothing just once, when your idea is to restart every month

No, it makes invcible people who play on the server the most, and other people who are attacking full diamond clad people with no armor and a stone sword, even though they might have 4 stacks of diamond waiting at home. It wont make it more fun for the majority of people, the main thing it will do is as time moves on, people will be less and less likely to stay and stick out the curve for good items.
And unless all classes let you use full diamond and iron tools/armor and a bow, I don't think I will be sticking around. I don't play minecraft to be limited in my items, I play to be a one man army, and anyone who says otherwise are lying, or don't know what they are talking about.

One man Army?
Kind of the reason i want Heroes. Nobody should be a one man army this is why we have a faction plugin.

And your point on people who have full diamond attacking people who can't even equip diamond. Can't you also say that about McMMO?
People like BK can pretty much 1 shot people with full diamond armor because of level 1000 axes.
McMMO has the same effect that people who play more > people who play less.

Honestly don't care what combat plugin we get but McMMO has to be removed.

You cannot say that for all of us, i came onto this server with friends, i raid with friends, you do not know what you are talking about.
This plugin will make the PvP server a more team game, as i was testing the plugin with Zab Snowy aus and Trapazoidberg, i learned about the class "mage", it isn't the greatest damage dealer, but it can Slow a ton from far away, you could call it a Support, Supporting a team, and or Faction. I also heard Zabrida say that the class Cleric had a team heal, correct me if i'm wrong, but this WILL take out the one man teams, and i don't know where you got the idea that it will make it worse, but it won't.

What I was talking about with Snowy and zab after Cookie and Zoidberg left, was if the hero plugin only comes into play once you step inside the PvP arena, or a warzone.

Someone who plays like me, I don't PvP, I absolutley hate it. BUT I love raiding and greifing. And with the hero plugin activated all the time it's going to be a real pain in the ass to, lets just say work around your base. Like you wont be able to ming obsidian because you aren't highly trained enough in a skill to weild a diamond pick.

I'm all for this plugin if it's only activated when you're in a warzone or something simelar.

Okay, maybe if you could use tools that are not swords or bows, like mining picks, axes, hoes and shovels, but i'm not sure if snowy can change it so it allows you to use certain tools.

Do you not remember my post a while back, I am against McMMO as well. But as to what I said, I dont think either you nor cookies understand. Have you ever used a potion while fighting? have you ever used a bow and a sword? have you ever carried around a sword and a bow? if so, you are doing what this mod will NOT let you in its "true" form. I for one, like carrying around a bow and a sword at and being able to use both. Taters, I KNOW you use a bow and a sword, I see you use both all the time at the arena.
One man army was a poor choice of words I used to help you see my point, but apparently it didnt work. Let's think a differnt way.
minecraft is about building, there are many different blocks to choose from, so lets say the game says, "NO, you can only build with cobblestone" well but someone else can build with wood, and cobblestone, is that right? isnt the point of the game that you can build anything? so why should we not be able to use a bow, or armor, or a sword just because our class. the both of you underestimate what this mod does, I really dont want a MMO with a class system in this game, when you have to make your own stuff for your class...

Cookie what you are essentially doing, is forcing people to do somthing they might not want to do. There is currently NOTHING stopping you from having your own "classes" within the game, if you want to have a bow, while someone else weilds healing potions, or fire charges, I DONT CARE. And honestly it would help your pvping as a group. But this plugin will impose that on others who might not want that, or who just want to raid alone. with this plugin, it would be nearly impossible for a single person to do anything, which is not the way alot of people play.

Thats a very good point Jj.

And Cookie, Snowy was trying to enable certain things, but the plugin doesn't come with a change log. If he was going to enable certain things, he would have to re-code it himself.

Guys from what i read you dont understand the heros plugin too well Very Happy.
Snowy can change in the file what armor each class is allowed to use, we can make new classes and we can give u a base set for gear. So when a Cleric dies he will respawn with Iron armor and a Stone sword for instance and whatever tools. There are also prof classes we can make, these go together with you Pri class which currently is Cleric, Mage, Warrior, Rogue. On these we can give u skills to help you mine faster etc etc so you will still be able to do all ur eco things, always have a decent starting set of gear even if u die and the only difference really is that you have cool spells in combat and it gives u a goal to level up and get stronger

Zab, My problem is not what is in the classes, My problem is the class system itself. There is a reason I don't play games like WaW or Star Wars: Knights of the old republic, I don't like their class system. And I don't want minecraft turning into that. Unless everyone has a single class where all items are permitted, then I don't like the idea of having this plugin. But having one class with everything would defeat the purpose of the plugin. So I agree with taters, somthing needs done with McMMO, but the heros plugin should not replace it.

Vote speaks for itself people want to try the heroes plugin.
Let's give it a try and if to much negative feedback then we switch to something else but again I think this will make a great change to starmine PVP
