I love strategy games, I love the step by step planning, I like the calculated risks and losses, sometimes I even like it when I know I have been defeated by an opponent better than me. I see the PvP server as a sort of "real time strategy" game. With resource management, an economy, and anticipating militaristic actions. However what is a Strategy game without Victory conditions? well it means it has no "end game". without a victory condition there is no way to "win" and nothing to strive for, this is how I feel about the PvP server. Sure there is a domination victory, being the largest most powerful faction on the server, but that role has been, and is being filled and can only be filled by one faction at a time... no, there needs to be another way. As such, I am proposing a collection of factions great in a certain area, Leader boards--if you will--for the current "victor" in a certain category. Said categories would be:
Domination--Having the most powerful faction on the server
Cultural--Having the most influence or land on the server
Economic--Having the most money combined of any faction on the server
Diplomatic--Having the highest ally-to-enemy ratio on the server (I.E. very few/no enemies)
Wonder--Having the best buildings or structures on the server(I.E. Monuments, Statues, Cities, Castles)

*This list is subject to change, and the definitions are subject to change, if you have a suggestion for a better definition, or new victory condition please feel free to post it in a comment.

As it stands now, there is only a number one, and nothing else. Should we have a leader board for these "victory conditions" as well, then we could have up to 25 top factions. five categories, and a top five leader board for each category. Some of the conditions as they currently are, can be measured by facts, and are not left to opinion, however Domination and Wonder are not bound by the same facts as the other three are, as such there would need to be a method derived that could determine the best in these categories. Perhaps a vote, however then you run into the whole "Oblivionkyuubi votes for naga" "jjruh votes for Hylia" "sheep votes for TeK" mess... everyone votes for themselves, and then the larger faction wins. So there needs to be a independent panel of judges, or a formula to take everything into account. any suggestions would be appreciated and helpful.

So what does everyone think? is it a good idea, do you think there should be victory conditions? or do you think I should take my idea far away from the server and stop typing such long posts?

I feel the same way. Though wonders might start griefing wars and development of the S.N.E.D. (starmine nuclear explosive device). Cannon people may be happy about that.

I accually love the idea of the Grief wars. Though, I think one of the requirements of a World Wonder Victory would require a peacfull relationship with most players. However, it would mean that factions could hire bounty hunters to destroy others buildings.
