| SSD's worth the price yet? Only worth putting your system.boot on there, but i'm running mine off a tradition harddirve and can be on working desktop in 20 seconds. Honestly, i'd drop that, and put the money saved to either a better CPU fan so you can overclock, or towards a gfx card.
My experience is lacking on the ATI (or whatever they call themselves these days ) cards , purely buy Nvidia these days and they appear to have best price to component performance match

| Found an ASUS version of GeForce GTX 660 2GB. It is called: ASUS GeForce GTX 660 2GB PhysX CUDA
Worth the price? Or should I get something better. Also I may decrease the ssd to a 60GB one (there is no less than that)
Also there is a version of the gfx card that isn't OC, which is around 20£ less

| I'm going to get a better PC than I have sometime in the near future. I have shopped around and I have to say you have a fairly decent setup. Major differences I see in our proposed setups are you are using a core I5, I would recomend a I7, they arnt that much more for the difference in preformance. RAM, I would strongly suggest getting as much ram as possible. RAM now is cheap you are going for 8 GB of RAM, I would suggest at least 16 GB, its not that much extra. Personally I am going to go for 32 GB of RAM, It adds quite a bit of longevity into the computer. As it stands now, games dont really require more than 6 GB of ram (thanks to consoles) but in the futre there might be games that require 16 GB as ram keeps getting cheaper and cheaper, and if you get as much RAM as you can now, it makes a good long term investment.
Other than that You have a pretty nice setup.

Short answer, YES. Having your startup on a smartphone like hard drive is nice. It takes a few seconds to start up completly, as opposed to my current computer that takes a full minute to show anything, and another five to respond to any imput from my mouse. Overall the SSD only adds $100 to the price of the computer, wich is alot, but when put in the background of a $1,500 computer budget it is worth it.

| Man, 32 GB of RAM is over kill. You really only want 16. And I agree with you Jj, intel i7 is much better and worth the price. | |

But the only difference between 32 GBs of RAM and 16 GB is only about $50. RAM is somthing that you should put in last, somthing to fill your remaining budget with. If you only have the money for 8GBs then you won't be hurting, but if you can pay for it, the more RAM you get, the longer your computer will remain "good". Remember 20 years ago, 5KB of RAM was considered good, that cant do anything today in a reasonable time frame. RAM is always increasing and becoming cheaper, sooner or later you will have to get more RAM in your computer, or it will become too slow to do anything, so this is a ballance of "buy extra now, or buy extra later" sooner or later you will have to, it is just a matter of time.

| Well, my pc is 1.99 GB RAM with intel i3 dual core, a $20 graphics card, I don't think ANY shaders. 32 BIT. And Windows XP <--- Now thats a crappy computer, but hey? I don't lag. 1.99 GB RAM can run my Minecraft at about 40 FPS. | |

I suppose you can run minecraft on it, but you can run minecraft on a smartphone, or even worse an Xbox. But when you start getting into serious gaming (not trying to knock minecraft, I just mean somthing that takes real power from a computer) the more ram the better. To play somthing like Planetside 2 on max settings at 60 frames, you not only need a $500 graphics card, but also 16+ GB of RAM. My current computer has 4 GB of ram and a desent graphics card, but it only playes Planetside 2 at 20-25 frames on the medium setting, Not playable for an FPS. Which is the persice reason I am looking into a new computer.

If you are looking for light gaming don't waist your money on a PC, buy a smart phone or a playstation. The only reason you would want to buy a light PC is for school or work reasons, which is a perfectly valid reason. And if you have one of those then by all means play light games on it.
