Yet again, we see another prime example of lack of staff. The only staff member on Starmine PvP is SnowGorilla, but of course, just like Snowy, he is in the UK. While the majority of players active on this (Day 1) have been US members.

At around 9:15 PM EST, a player named "Lexe" joined and asked if any staff were online. When we, (The people online), told him that none were online, this occurred:



This chat spam-bot continued from approximately 9:18 PM EST to whenever it stops, seeing as it is still going as I type this at 9:26 PM EST.

I revert back to my primary argument of this topic:
Starmine PvP needs to pick Staff.

I'm not saying I wish to be staff, nor am I saying any members of Naga should be staff, seeing as that would be highly inappropriate to ask of you. Make your best decisions, and pick a few Moderators. Perhaps an Admin or two. And make sure timezones are something you consider when picking. Otherwise offences such as this will continue, just as they did on the old PvP server.

I Agree with you. SnowGorilla Should Pick some Mods soon becuase it happends again. Or do what he did and have some trusted players op till the mods were picked

Hmmmm. Maybe We can do a defence system. THis is how it will work.

The server opened for 5 HOURS while this happened , how can we pick staff while we dont got any idea who is capable of what?

I suggest interview, as it would be for any job in the real world, so should it be for mod applications along with if ever admin positions. Snowy and Snowgorilla should both be present for said interviews.
Allow mod applications to be put forth and then allowing a set date to interview those who applied, allow all who wish to apply only doing so in a set amount of time.
Once the time is up, then begin the interviews.

This is only but a suggestion, sorry if it doesn't help.

I was referring to the previous PvP server, where there was massive amounts of rule breaking while you and the other UK members were offline during the time the US players were online. And you could've thought about staff before you opened it. :/

Just like I said before , we can't pack staff if we don't know anyone who is good for it.
We know good people on the survival server , but that doesn't make them a good mod for PvP

I agree with Kyuubi, we should have interviews. It lets you get to know the people that your about to give certain privileges to. The sooner the better.
